You will have a week or so to support the claims with references. Right now the references don't.Peter Rehse (talk) 18:13, 12 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

OK - I removed the PROD but left the notability tag in place for now. That still is not clear to me.Peter Rehse (talk) 21:33, 14 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

For the notability These event is the most important tournament in Europe about kickboxing and maybe in the world. Is also the most old kick boxing events more old then UFC. All the year 13.000 spectators are present and pay the ticket and av. 80 national worldwide television broadcasting the events. Several VIP was present in the events Giorgio Armani, Donatella Versace, Don Wilson and as son.

Please check online or in youtube. Is clear now? thank you Peter. Some of the best worldwide fighters was borns in these events Giorgio Petrosyan (wiki) is only an example --Alec Smithson (talk) 00:17, 2 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merge with Fight1

edit

Fight1 appears not to be sufficiently notable to have its own page; Oktagon seems to be its principal activity, suggest merging here. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 17:03, 22 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Agree on the Merge - I think that perhaps both should be taken to AfD because the notability is far from clear.Peter Rehse (talk) 09:32, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Agree on merge of Fight 1 to this one, but Oktagon is probably notable in Italy and has been going on for over 20 years. It pains me to say this because this is one of a suite of articles created by a now globally locked account who has created many troublesome articles about members of his family, their property, and their businesses. Examples:

Well then in addition to the Merge - some effort to describe why the Oktagon is notable is required.Peter Rehse (talk) 12:48, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
I've added a few sentences about it and two more refs which explain why the tournament is notable in Italy. There's much more that could be written, if one were an enthusiast of these sorts of things, which I'm definitely not. I generally write about this sort of thing, but I'll be happy to help any MMA enthusiasts who need translation of the Italian sources. Voceditenore (talk) 15:08, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
I've added some of the material in Fight1 to this article. If no one objects, I'll go ahead and complete the merge, redirecting Fight1 to this article and adding {{Merged to}} to Talk:Fight1 and {{merged from}} to this talk page. Voceditenore (talk) 16:01, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Pinging Justlettersandnumbers and Peter Rehse. Voceditenore (talk) 16:03, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
No objection - I was going to do the same but happy that your doing it.Peter Rehse (talk) 16:18, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Great, thank you Voceditenore! PRehse, for what it's worth, I'm pretty sure this event is notable. If I hadn't been, I'd have nominated it for deletion (as I have done for many other articles by this troublesome editor) instead of trying to clean it up. Voceditenore has done a great job of adding sources. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 17:34, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
