India's latest statement on No first use
editI previously added the latest statement dated 4 October 2025, where Sibi George, Secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs, reaffirmed India’s No First Use policy during the High-Level Meeting of the UNGA on Nuclear Disarmament.
Now, this has been changed to the older 2013 statement.
The 2025 statement is more recent, directly relevant, and made in an UN assembly.

- The statement you cited does not list a date or a speaker. It is identical in wording to the statement made in 2013. I could find no other reference to a 2025 statement, so I swapped in a more complete version of the statement with. If you believe Sibi George made a statement in 2025, you'll need to provide a citation that includes his name and that date. NPguy (talk) 04:28, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- I realized the previous citation did not include the name and date. Thank you for pointing that out. The Times of India article confirms that Sibi George reaffirmed India’s No First Use policy on 4 October 2025. It includes both his name and the video of his speech:

- The earlier news article I mentioned was published on 4 October, 2025. However, the speech was delivered on 26 September at the High-Level Meeting on Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, AM & PM Meetings.
- This official press article by UN confirms the date, name, and what he said in the meeting: https://press.un.org/en/2025/ga12713.doc.htm
