This RFC is neither well-formed, nor, apparently, necessary. I suggest simply talking it over with other editors on the talk page; giving compelling reasons the status quo must change; and eschewing the many pictures you yourself do not think are good enough. Regulov (talk) 09:15, 28 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
I agree, this fails WP:RFCBEFORE and there's far too many options. However, since I'm here... the status quo is perfectly fine and none of the myriad of choices is good enough to warrant a change. Nemov (talk) 15:40, 28 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
I personally don't like the status quo because it feels like a digital scan of a physical photo that wasn't completely flat. I like H because the photo has minimal grain compared to the status quo and the contrast is better while the people in the background don't take away from the main subject in said photo. I agree with Regulov and Nemov. The last discussion on this page is from May last year and it was about another topic. Like Nemov, since I'm here I would go with the status quo. If the status quo didn't exist I'd probably judge I to be the best of the rest, however I don't really like the level of contrast in that photo. TarnishedPathtalk08:08, 31 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Considering JFK was president of the United States at the time the military plot against Diệm was planned and carried out, we are informed, with the support of the CIA, should we not have some information regarding the attitude of American President and Government toward the Vietnamese coup? The impression is given that the Americans were two-faced, officially being neutral and secretly aiding the army to overthrow the government and murder Diệm. But President Kennedy is not mentioned once in the entire article. People are led to assume, wrongly, that President Kennedy agreed with the activity of his CIA. This is a serious omission. I am deleting the statement "The Kennedy administration reacted with fury at what Alsop had revealed. In a message to Secretary of State Dean Rusk, Roger Hilsman urged that a coup against Diệm be encouraged to take place promptly, saying that the mere possibility that Diệm might make a deal with the Communists meant that he had to go" because (a) these statements are seriously exaggerated, and (b) the exaggerations were not in the source cited, Karnow page 292.
