I am a consultant with a marketing agency that is assisting Nerdio. Due to my professional affiliation, I am making this proposal on the talk page. The current Wikipedia page for Nerdio is quite sparse. To avoid taking up too much volunteer time, I'm proposing improvements section-by-section, starting with the 'Products and Services' section. All proposed content is based on reliable, published sources and adheres to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View and No Original Research policies. I have aimed to present factual information objectively, avoiding promotional language or speculation.
Products and Services
Nerdio provides two primary platforms: Nerdio Manager for Enterprise and Nerdio Manager for MSP. These platforms are not delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS) but rather as a platform solution installed directly within the customer/MSP's Azure tenant. These single-tenant and multi-tenant platforms function as a management and automation layer for native Microsoft cloud services, designed to reduce administrative complexity and operational costs associated with deploying and managing virtual desktops and Microsoft 365 environments."Nerdio Manager for Enterprise". Azure Marketplace. Microsoft. Retrieved June 26, 2025."What to expect from NerdioCon 2024". Computer Weekly. Retrieved June 26, 2025. The technology's architecture includes a security model. The platforms are deployed as Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) applications directly within a customer's own Azure subscription and geographic location. This ensures that no third party has access to the deployment and that all user data remains within the customer's controlled environment, addressing data residency and compliance requirements."Nerdio Manager for Enterprise". Azure Marketplace. Microsoft. Retrieved June 26, 2025."What to expect from NerdioCon 2024". Computer Weekly. Retrieved June 26, 2025.
Nerdio Manager for Enterprise
Nerdio Manager for Enterprise is designed for corporate IT departments to deploy, manage, and optimize their internal virtual desktop environments built on Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 as well as physical endpoints managed via Intune. Key features of the platform include: Unified Management Console: Provides a "single pane of glass" for managing AVD, Windows 365, and physical endpoints, designed to eliminate the need for complex scripting or navigating multiple Azure portals."Nerdio Manager for Enterprise". Azure Marketplace. Microsoft. Retrieved June 26, 2025. Simplified Deployment: The platform includes a guided setup wizard designed to facilitate the creation of new VDI environments. The company states this can reduce deployment time from weeks to a few hours."Nerdio Manager for Enterprise". Azure Marketplace. Microsoft. Retrieved June 26, 2025. Cost Optimization: A central feature is its advanced autoscaling engine, which automatically provisions and deprovisions virtual machine (VM) resources based on user demand or schedules. By shutting down unused VMs during off-peak hours and scaling up resources when needed, the feature can reduce Azure compute and storage costs by up to 75%."Nerdio Manager for Enterprise". Azure Marketplace. Microsoft. Retrieved June 26, 2025. Image and Application Management: The platform automates the creation, updating, and management of desktop images. It also allows IT teams to deploy Windows applications to any Windows device from a centralized catalog. User Session Control: Administrators can manage user sessions, with capabilities to disconnect idle sessions or remotely reboot desktops to troubleshoot issues. Physical Endpoint Security: Nerdio Manager extends the capabilities of native Intune with deeper insights into Compliance Status, Patch Status, and Warranty Status.
Nerdio Manager for MSP
Nerdio Manager for MSP is a multi-tenant platform created for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to administer the Microsoft cloud environments of multiple clients from a single, centralized interface."Nerdio Manager for MSP". Azure Marketplace. Microsoft. Retrieved June 26, 2025. It is designed to improve operational efficiency and enable MSPs to build cloud practices."Managed service providers". Nerdio. Retrieved June 26, 2025. Core capabilities include: Multi-Tenant Management: The platform provides a unified dashboard where MSPs can view and manage all their client accounts, which streamlines administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting by eliminating the need to switch between different client portals. Automation: It automates many routine tasks across all tenants, including user provisioning, policy enforcement, security updates, and resource scaling. Cost Management and Quoting: The platform includes a built-in cost estimator tool that allows MSPs to calculate infrastructure costs and prepare competitive bids for potential clients. It also provides features to right-size Azure resources and manage reserved instances to control ongoing cloud spending for their customers. Security and Compliance: Nerdio Manager for MSP allows providers to apply security baselines, enforce Intune policies, and monitor for vulnerabilities across all managed environments. It includes role-based access control (RBAC) to ensure that technicians only have access to the resources necessary for their duties. Richard8533 (talk) 20:34, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
