  • New enough (meticulously expanded over the course of one day and submitted on the same day) and more than long enough (5504 characters)! Well sourced to several books, in addition to 35 newspaper articles. Tone is neutral and copyvio is unlikely based on style, although the hook is pretty much verbatim from the source. (Not ideal but perhaps there is no other way to say it.) The hook is definitely interesting and is verified by the source cited. Another possible issue with the hook is that "is believed to have" could be seen as a weasel word, but of course we prefer accuracy to bombastic "world's first" hooks that land at WP:ERRORS. The image is eye-catching even as a thumbnail, supports the hook and the story, is used in the article. and is public domain. The QPQ is done. Really the main thing that could be better is a slight re-wording of the hook if possible (to address the two points raised above), but probably not a deal breaker. It does the job and piques curiosity. Too bad audio hook doesn't seem to be an option. Cielquiparle (talk) 19:55, 15 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
