Indian descent?
editShould Negan be in the Category:Fictional American people of Indian descent? Because on Forebears.com Negan, Negani, Negana, and Negaon are proven to be Indian surnames with translations in Hindu and Marathi given. Also the comic Negan and the TV Negan both look like they could be at most half Indian. Compare to other part Indian people:

- That's original research. Unless he is stated as such in canon material this is just a fan theory. GnomeSweetGnome (talk) 11:14, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
- It's not original research if his last name only has one ethnic origin, it can't be Irish, Italian, British, German, or any other name origin.--2A02:C7D:892B:3D00:341E:4C3F:AC3D:E2A5 (talk) 08:50, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
- It's unquestionably original research unless you find a source that specifically states that this character (not just the name) is of Indian descent. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 15:14, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

Article needs more analysis and criticism to replace long plot
editThis article is almost entirely plot summary, which is problematic. WP:CMOS#PLOT states In order to justify the fair use of copyrighted material, plot discussions must be concise summaries, not detailed abridgements that can serve as a substitute for the reading of the actual story. Summarising should never be on a per-issue basis and should only outline the plot rather than describe minor details. Additionally, plot descriptions must include cited reference to critical analysis published in secondary sources.
The musts here are matters of policy.
I checked for GAs and found a few good examples of what this article could look like: Luke Cage, Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, and Spike Spiegel. Reidgreg (talk) 19:40, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
