Navigation Homes StadiumGrowers Stadium – Growers Stadium is the common name of the stadium, not a branded name that is set to expire and be replaced. Other stadiums in New Zealand are not at branded name title Traumnovelle (talk) 07:10, 25 April 2026 (UTC)  Relisting. TarnishedPathtalk 10:10, 2 May 2026 (UTC)  Relisting. {{GearsDatapacks|talk|contribs}} 15:09, 9 May 2026 (UTC)  Relisting. Maltazarian parleyinvestigate 19:43, 16 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Comment have you got any sources to back up the claim that Growers Stadium is the common name, or at least the non-branded name of the stadium? Turnagra (talk) 19:31, 26 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

This is an editorial. The author explains that "Everybody calls it...", but you can make that same argument for any stadium which has been renamed. Everybody calls it SkyDome. Everybody calls it Joe Robbie Stadium. Unless reliable secondary sources use the name, it is not WP:COMMONNAME as far as Wikipedia is concerned. 162 etc. (talk) 21:07, 26 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Names that are bound to change in the near future are not suitable as an article title for Wikipedia. Instead of a stable title that is recognisable we will be constantly changing it every time a new sponsor is announced. Traumnovelle (talk) 22:22, 26 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

We do not know what will or will not change in the future. See WP:CRYSTAL. If the common name does change, the article can be renamed at that time. See WP:NAMECHANGES. 162 etc. (talk) 03:12, 27 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Found some sources using Grower Stadium, including NZ Herald, The Post, ESPN and Nine News. I think it's fair to say it's a recognised and common alternative to the commercial name. nil nz 06:52, 5 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
