Major article update?

edit

An ARS scientist familiar with NPGS would like to fully update this article & add citations. I have been helping him learn the basics of Wikipedia editing (his user name is Gkinard) and he has been writing sections in his Sandbox to update the article. We have talked extensively about ensuring neutral viewpoint, using unbiased and secondary sources, and using a variety of sources (not just ARS/USDA resources). Does anyone object? We would be open to assistance/review. Thank you! Jamie-NAL (talk) 15:22, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Major changes - completely rewritten

edit

I completely revised the article in April 2025, using ChatGPT (GPT-4) solely to assist with copyediting. I did not use it to generate sources nor draft original content. All text was written and carefully reviewed by me prior to publication. I expanded the article by adding images, tables, and substantially increasing the number of references, none of which were generated by ChatGPT. My workflow involved drafting sentences or paragraphs independently and then using ChatGPT to improve clarity while preserving my original intent. ChatGPT was used to copyedit this paragraph.--Bdbart (talk) 13:53, 27 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
