The museum of the object of the object
editmakes sense in English. The translation might mean purpose, but considering the wordplay, why not call it thus? 97.71.73.46 (talk) 03:30, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
- I think I fixed it, leaving a bit of explanation in place. Any objections? __ Just plain Bill (talk) 03:44, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
Proposed merge with Love locks at the MODO museum
editTrivial tradition, can easily be briefly mentioned in main article rather than needing its own article. --Animalparty! (talk) 06:49, 1 October 2016 (UTC)
- I have boldly merged the two articles. --Animalparty! (talk) 18:42, 16 October 2016 (UTC)

Title translation
editI’ve changed the English translation of the title back to "The Museum of the Object of the Object" seeing as, as discussed above, this is perhaps a more faithful translation that retains the wordplay of the original. Additionally, I also think it’s less confusing than "The Purpose of the Object Museum"; while that may be the way their own website has translated it on their ‘About’ page, especially in this context it almost seems to imply that this article is about whatever "the purpose" of this "object museum" might be, rather than being about a museum which is dedicated to objects of purpose, if you see what I mean. Also included a couple refs to some articles that call it "The Museum of the Object of the Object", including one from the official Mexico City tourism website.
