• Lead needs expanded some.
  • I went ahead and expanded it myself.
• "Dowell played with the Matadors from 1932 to 1934" Previous sentences talk about other sports and freshmen team, so perhaps reword this to "Dowell played for the Matadors' varsity team from 1932 to 1934"
• "He immediately became the tallest member of the team" How tall?
• Is Homecoming supposed to be capitalized? Not saying it shouldn't be, just wondering.
• "accounted for four touchdowns" change to scored four touchdowns so as to avoid "for four". And yes, I already checked the source, he personally ran the ball in himself (they weren't passing TDs or anything).
• Link training camp?
• Added seven cats.

The lead looks great! Thanks for that. I've made most of the changes you suggest here. I suppose I capitalize Homecoming cuz I always see it capitalized in schedule boxes, but it probably shouldn't be if it's not in the source. However, unfortunately, I was unable to find his height from that year, just mentions of his "towering" stature. JTtheOG (talk) 22:04, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
