Ocelli

"The ventral side is decorated with ocelli or eyespots. In some species, such as M. godarti, the dorsal lamellae are so thin as to allow the ventral ocelli to peek through."

I don't think ocelli is the right word here. It's generally used to refer to simple eyes on insects and the like. Am I wrong on this? --Kugamazog 02:54, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Distribution info

After returning from Cali (Colombia) a couple of years ago, I was disappointed to discover a dearth (lack) of detailed distribution information at species level available on the Internet. Can any wise Wikipedians start filling in some gaps for Morpho spp.? Thanks—GRM 13:06, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
