Please elaborate

edit

User:Saucy, can you please elaborate on the issues you see on this article? Uziel302 (talk) 15:13, 6 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Uziel302: The "The product" section stuck out to me the most. It doesn't have a formal tone, rather it is worded more like a tutorial or an advertisement. Saucy[talkcontribs] 22:13, 11 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Saucy: I shrinked the product section to the basic needed. Are there other issues? Uziel302 (talk) 08:47, 14 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

User:Crocodilesareforwimps, can you please elaborate what makes you think this is an advert? Uziel302 (talk) 06:32, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

The article is full of advertising-like language. Especially the product section with its detailed bullet point breakdown of the product features. CrocodilesAreForWimps (talk) 20:53, 31 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

This part was removed, I removed the template. Uziel302 (talk) 10:10, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

COI

edit

@Timtempleton: I think a COI concern about this article is warranted. Just the most recent 50 edits contain five SPA accounts that either exclusively edit about monday.com, or in the case of the fifth, look like a PR agency for that sector. Adding that to the conversation on the Helpdesk yesterday. I'm a bit wary over this article and where it will head. - X201 (talk) 08:57, 25 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

@X201: I agree, especially with the clearly insider edit that happened right after I went through it and took the time to clean it up. It’s good to have an extra set of eyeballs on this, and if you want to tag it again, feel free. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 16:28, 25 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Edit request to move section

edit

I work with monday.com and would like to request that an unconnected editor help improve the article by moving the important items from the newly created Monday.com#Israeli-Palestinian conflict section chronologically into the history section. Per WP:UNDUE, having the conflict-related items in a dedicated section seems to be an attempt to associate the company with the war. The conflict is one of the subjects that the arbitration committee has chosen to apply WP:ECP to, so if this info is indeed important enough to include, it's less controversial to put it in the history section. Hundreds of Israeli companies are affected by the Gaza War, but I can't find any that have dedicated conflict sections associating them with it. The info can also be edited for length, which I've done below.

The first sentence is also trying to use a story about a single company's threat of a boycott to equate the company with Netanyahu and his policies. Nevermind that it's a questionable source that links to a case study that doesn't exist, it seems to be WP:UNDUE as well, and also touches into the arbcom protection areas. monday.com is a global company that happens to be from Israel, and has many governments as its clients. I'd like to request that the first two sentences be removed. The history section would then look like this, after the funding paragraph, and before the February 2025 paragraph.

In October 2023, Forbes reported how monday.com’s software was being adapted by volunteer groups and civil organizations to coordinate humanitarian relief efforts and logistics following the attacks that started the Gaza War in October 2023.[1]
In January 2024, Israeli business daily Calcalist reported how monday.com had been affected by the Gaza War, including having up to 7% of of its global workforce called up to the Israeli reserves, requiring expanded mental-health services and the creation of reintegration tools for returning reservists.[2]

Thank you. Ilanmnsn1 (talk) 07:00, 19 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

I've just axed the whole thing as it was added by a non-extended confirmed editor. If this happens again, and the editor happens to not be extended confirmed, feel free to revert, citing this talk page discussion. Children Will Listen (🐄 talk, 🫘 contribs) 03:55, 20 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Edit request to update article

edit

I've gone through the article and made some improvements, and updated the financials and employee numbers. I'd also like to add a products section, to show what the company does, not just focusing on the API. Can an independent editor review this request?
1) Change request:

Monday.com was founded in 2012 by Roy Mann, Eran Kampf and Eran Zinman.
+
Monday.com was founded in 2012 by Roy Mann and Eran Zinman.
Reason: Eran Kampf isn't a co-founder. He's not named in the sources. I think someone added him (possibly himself?) and other sites took it when reporting on the company.

2) Please update the number of employees and source.

| num_employees = 1,854 (2023)

3) The services and products sections are too bloated in the infobox. Please remove low-code development platform and no-code development platform from each.

 Done STEMinfo (talk) 00:32, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

4) Please update the financials. I changed the reference named AR:

| revenue = increase (2023) | operating_income = increasenegative (2023) | net_income = increasenegative (2023) | assets = increase (2023) | equity = increase (2023)

5) Please update the lead to be more descriptive and succinct:

Monday.com Ltd. (styled in lowercase as monday.com) is an Israeli-based cloud-based platform that allows users to create their own applications and project management software
+
Monday.com Ltd. (styled in lowercase as monday.com) is a global software company that develops a browser-based AI platform for managing work processes.
 Done STEMinfo (talk) 00:32, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

6) Minor copy editing in the lead to describe the platform, versus calling it a product:

The product was launched in 2014 and in July 2019, the company raised $150 million, based on a $1.9 billion valuation.
+

 Done STEMinfo (talk) 00:32, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

7) Revise the history to reflect the correct founders' names, per above:

Monday.com was founded in 2012 by Roy Mann, Eran Kampf and Eran Zinman.
+

 Done STEMinfo (talk) 00:32, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

8) Correct capitalization and add source:

The company, originally called Dapulse, began as an internal tool developed at SAAS website builder Wix.com to address communication and transparency challenges as Wix rapidly scaled.
+

 Done STEMinfo (talk) 00:32, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

9)There's some outdated business info. Can it be deleted, considering the more current info in the infobox is better?

The funding gave the company a valuation of $1.9B, making it a unicorn. As of 2021, the company reported it was serving over 127,000 customers across over 200 business verticals.
+

10) I'd like to move the last line in the API section chronologically to the history section, since it's history. This can go just before the May 2021 IPO news.

In June 2020, monday.com released its API to third-party developers. monday.com's open API allows users to build on the platform's capabilities[1]
 Done STEMinfo (talk) 00:32, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

11) Since we have the financials in the infobox, I think this is a bit too promotional and too forward looking, per WP:NOTCRYSTAL. Can it be removed?

In February 2025, monday.com reported record financial results for the fourth quarter and the fiscal year 2024, with a revenue of $268 million, representing a 32% growth compared to the previous year.[2] The company also achieved a record non-GAAP operating profit and a net dollar retention rate of 112%. Additionally, monday.com plans to hire around 600 new employees over the next 12 months and is seeking strategic acquisitions to expand its operations.[3]
 Done STEMinfo (talk) 00:32, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

12) Can this be added chronologically to the history section, to show the introduction of AI?

In July 2025, the company released artificial intelligence updates to its platform, to assist non-technical users.[4]
 Done STEMinfo (talk) 00:32, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

13) There's currently no products and services section. Can this be added after history? I avoided using any company sources for the info, and tried to make it as succinct as possible.

Products and services
monday.com develops a Software as a Service (SaaS)-based AI platform that customers use to develop productivity tools including work management and software applications.[5] It includes low code/no code support for non-developers, and includes pre-built AI automations called AI blocks.[6][7][8] The platform utilizes agentic AI, including a context aware AI assistant, and AI-based workflow and coding tools.[9][10][11]
The company develops four main products for its platform:
 • monday work management - drag and drop project management software[12]
 • monday CRM - customizable customer relationship management software for businesses, which includes the email marketing automation tool Campaigns[13][14]
 • monday service - a service portal for organizing, managing and tracking tickets and other requests.[15]
 • monday dev - Agile project management software for workflow and collaboration management[16]
It also develops apps for its platform, including Workforms for form building, and Canvas for whiteboard collaboration.[17]
 Done STEMinfo (talk) 02:23, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

14) I'd like to indent the API section under products and services, and revise the content now that the June 2020 history has been moved to history.
API
Version 1 of monday.com's API is a representational state transfer based JSON API capable of handling cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) requests and uses an API Token as authentication. Version 2 of their API is a GraphQL API that allows users to pull and/or alter data about users, updates, items, boards, and tags.[<i>[[Wikipedia:Citation needed|<span title="This claim needs references to reliable sources. 15) I'd also like to add a short operations section, to consolidate the business info.
Operations
monday.com is a publicly traded company based in Tel Aviv, Israel.[18] As of 2025, the company reported it had 2,508 employees, and was serving over 245,000 customers.[19] Co-founders Eran Zinman and Roy Mann serve as Co-CEOs.[20]
