Cited books

@WMrapids: Thank you so much for your recent edits! I am amazed by your skills at finding information for such an obscure figure in German history. While I was able to find other websites' references to the German magazine and Chilean book that you sourced, I can't seem to find any information on the book about Barbara Kast. I'm honestly surprised that a book about her exists at all, seeing as how Barbara Kast died young, at 18 years of age. While I am not questioning the legitimacy of such a book existing, I am asking, where did you find this book? Is it available anywhere online? Either way, thank you so much for the recent edits. Discrepancies, Bias and straight up omitted info

edit

Hello everyone I'm a Chilean national and I have realized that the English version of this article is a mess, when compared to the Spanish version of the page the English version leaves much to be desired, the language and expressions used in the section titled early life show a very clear bias as whoever wrote it even speculates and tries to justify Michael Kast's membership in the nazi party, the previous section seems like a direct translation of the intro in the Spanish version, except for the fact that it has been heavily censored, removing any mention of his membership in the nazi party, his illegal immigration to Chile or his later collaboration with the Pinochet dictatorship

In the "Life in Chile" section any mention of his crimes and participation in the dictatorship has also been removed

In the "Involvement in Pinochet dictatorship" section the text is laughably short and it uses very poor language, it almost feels like a comment found in a YouTube video defending him rather than a serious article, compare it to the same section in the Spanish version, for example, the English text has 2 paragraphs while the Spanish version has 8 paragraphs instead that go into heavy detail about his involvement

In short this is probably one the most biased and poorly written Wikipedia articles I have seen so far and I think it should be fixed asap Gabiiwis (talk) 05:53, 24 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
