editI can't make sense of this passage:
Fields had the star route contract for the delivery of U.S. mail from Cascade, Montana, to Saint Peter's Mission in 1885. She drove the route for two four-year contracts, from 1895 to 1899 and from 1899 to 1903.
The part that puzzles me is "in 1885." The body of the article makes clear that Fields began the route in 1895. It seems unlikely that she would have "had" the contract, yet done nothing with it, meanwhile trying to run an unprofitable saloon. I will remove the "in 1885" until someone can explain why it should be there and what it might mean. --Matt Thorn (talk) 09:25, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
