Request to update article with Sandbox draft (COI)
edit![]() | Part of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented. |
Hello, I am the subject of this article (conflict of interest). To avoid editing directly, I created a neutral, fully cited draft in my Sandbox: User:Martuherek/sandbox.
The draft updates the biography chronologically (2008–2025), adds discography with label and year information, cites independent sources (Hudba.sk, Jazz.sk, Nový Populár, All About Jazz, Apple Music, La Plata Production, Hudobný život), and removes unsourced or promotional material.
I would appreciate it if an uninvolved editor could review the draft and, if acceptable, replace or merge it into this article. Thank you! Martuherek (talk) 19:14, 6 September 2025 (UTC)
- Adding a note: I would also welcome input from members of WikiProject Jazz and WikiProject Musicians. Martuherek (talk) 19:18, 6 September 2025 (UTC)
I am the subject of this article (COI) and will not edit directly. I have a neutral, fully cited draft:
• Draft: User:Martuherek/sandbox
I’m requesting that an uninvolved editor replace the current article text with the sandbox (or merge as needed). To make review easy, here are copy-ready excerpts and sources.
Proposed lead
editMartin Uherek (born September 22, 1987) is a Slovak jazz saxophonist, composer, and educator. He is the founder of the educational concert-and-album series Príbehy jazzu (“Stories of Jazz”), active since 2013, and a co-leader with pianist Klaudius Kováč on the duo album Two Boddies (2025). His music is rooted in swing, bebop, and hard bop while drawing on modern jazz approaches.[1][2]
Proposed sections
edit- Early life and education* — copy from sandbox; main cites: [2]
- Career* — Quartet, Walkin’, Príbehy jazzu (2016/2018/2021), duo album *Two Boddies* (2025); cites include [1], Gregi.net (2016), Nový Populár (Vol.3), SITA (2012), Supraphonline (metadata), Apple Music pages (metadata).
- Discography* — standardized with year/label; cites: Apple Music/Supraphonline for release metadata; independent coverage for context.
References and external links updated accordingly.
If anything needs trimming to meet MOS or sourcing, I’m happy to adjust. Thank you. Martuherek (talk) 06:45, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
- == Follow-up ==
- Kind follow-up after a week. The draft and sources remain the same:
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Martuherek/sandbox
- If any reviewer from WikiProject Jazz or WikiProject Musicians has time to take a look,
- I would really appreciate it. Happy to adjust formatting or sourcing per MOS if needed. Thank you! Martuherek (talk) 07:58, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
Partly done: Much of the early life and education section is not covered by reliable sources, verifiable content added. Thanks, Encoded Talk 💬 11:46, 4 December 2025 (UTC)

This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. Some or all of the changes appear to have been generated by a large language model. See Wikipedia:Large language models for information on using LLMs in Wikipedia. - Thank you, Encoded, for updating the article and implementing part of the sandbox draft.
- As the subject of the article (COI disclosed at User:Martuherek), I am not editing the page directly. I would like to request a small but important correction in the **“Other projects”** section to fix incorrect citations and replace them with sources that actually discuss the 2023 album Hommage to Arnošt Coufal.
- At present, the section cites articles from SITA (2012) and Bombing.eu (2013), which concern unrelated festival announcements and do not mention the album or the ensemble Deus Sax Machina.
- Below is a corrected version of the paragraph, using a strong independent secondary source (Jazz.sk) together with standard discographic sources (Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube teaser). All text is neutral and verifiable.
- === Proposed correction ===
- Replace the current paragraph in **“Other projects”** with the following:
In 2023, Uherek recorded with the saxophone ensemble Deus Sax Machina on the album Hommage to Arnošt Coufal, a tribute to Czech composer Arnošt Coufal. A Jazz.sk article discussed the project and Uherek’s role in the recording.[3] The album features eight compositions titled Hommage à Sax Prelude and an additional track, “30 years.”[4] Uherek appears on tenor and alto saxophones, alongside Nikola Bankov, Peter Dobai, and Erik Rothenstein.[5]
- This revision removes unrelated citations and replaces them with sources confirming the album, its repertoire, and the participating musicians. It keeps the section strictly factual and in line with WP:V and WP:RS.
- Many thanks to any reviewer who can implement this correction. Martuherek (talk) 20:18, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Martuherek, it appears you used AI in creating this request, and it is unlikely anyone will respond to it because of that. I recommend withdrawing this request and submitting a new one in your own words. MediaKyle (talk) 18:59, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
Not done: your request appears to have been generated by a large language model. ―Tosca-the-engineer (talk) 16:41, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
