editDespite being a household name among Latin speakers there seems to little background information on her in English, that is available online. However there might be more in Spanish.

- According to linked articles, she had a number one single (I Know (You Don't Love Me No More)) on the Billboard Latin charts in 1988, and the number 9 Latin song ("Tu Dama de Hierro") for all of 1987. She then also had a number 1 Latin album in 2009, and she was nominated for a Latin Billboard Music Award in 2010.
