edit"Image:Mappyland title screen.gif|Mappy-Land title screen Image:NES Mappyland.gif|Mappy-Land screenshot </gallery>" This line of code, and the pictures it references, do not function. And yeah, there was only a </gallery> tag but not an actual <"gallery"> tag anywhere. 74.128.56.194 (talk) 10:22, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Waxworker Keeps Reverting Good Edits Including the Mappy-Land Bonus-Area Context
editTo all interested in the Mappy-Land article,
My most recent contribution on the Mappy-land article was reverted by Waxworker, without first a discussion, and it was an arbitrary and unfair revert targeted at me. Waxworker should have at a minimum started a discussion on the Mappy-Land talk page to reach a consensus with other editors before removing critical Mappy-Land context in the manner he did.
Please be aware that I am being stalked by the user Waxworker (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Waxworker), who has systematically gone through every edit I've ever made in my contribution list, reverting almost every single one. I am seeking help because I do not know what to do about another user stalking me on Wikipedia. Here is an additional context reference, so you can see what I mean: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Uncharted_Waters_(video_game)#Waxworker_Reverted_My_Attempts_To_Build_This_Rather_Undeveloped_Article_(Seeking_Help_Regarding_the_Reverts)
On this particular article for Mappy-Land, I made a good contribution, adding context about the critical bonus area of the game as such:
"In the NES version of the bonus area, the player needs to collect six items and then go to Mapico or Mappy Jr at the end of the bonus area, but doing so before the timer runs out. The player gets once chance within the time constraints, and receives a large point increase if successful.[1]"
However, Waxworker reverted my contribution, like he has almost every edit I've ever made on every article I've ever edited, saying that it must be reverted because my reference was gamefaqs.gamespot.com - However, the real reason Waxworker reverted the edit is because I made the contribution and Waxworker is continuing his negative interest in stalking me. I need help. I carefully verified that it was a good reference in regards to my Mappy-Land contribution, and it is a good reliable independent reference. It has been used on literally thousands of Wikipedia articles as good trusted reference.
Here are a few Wikipedia articles which ALL use gamefaqs.gamespot.com as a good trusted reference: Tom and Jerry, The Blackwell Convergence, The History Channel: Battle for the Pacific, Kyorochan, QuickSpot, Rui Komatsuzaki, Kamiwaza, Chennault's Flying Tigers, WWF Superstars 2, Twin Eagle, Noddy and the Birthday Party, Midway's Greatest Arcade Hits, Bug Heroes, Rocky Mountain Trophy Hunter: Interactive Big Game Hunting, Cyber Doll, Truth or Lies, Zombie Zombie, Star Wraith IV: Reviction, Superman, Airburst, WWF King of the Ring, and many more, but you get the point.
For your additional reference, here are the search results for all 2,500+ Wikipedia articles for which gamefaqs.gamespot.com has been accepted as a good trusted reliable reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=gamefaqs.gamespot.com&title=Special%3ASearch&profile=advanced&fulltext=1&ns0=1&ns1=1&ns2=1&ns3=1&ns4=1&ns5=1&ns6=1&ns7=1&ns8=1&ns9=1&ns10=1&ns11=1&ns12=1&ns13=1&ns14=1&ns15=1&ns100=1&ns101=1&ns118=1&ns119=1&ns126=1&ns127=1&ns710=1&ns711=1&ns828=1&ns829=1&ns1728=1&ns1729=1&searchToken=dz89zuoedbedbqv6s5qffi0c4
I don't know what to do about a Wikipedia stalker. I feel uncomfortable and self-conscious now to even try and build more articles. Somebody with authority, I am begging you, please help me from my stalker Waxworker. I would greatly appreciate it. Fennke (talk) 14:42, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Fennke: - I have also replied on Talk:Uncharted Waters (video game), and I am not stalking you. As I explained in the edit summary of my revert, GameFAQs is an unreliable WP:USERGENERATED source per WP:VG/RS. Other articles using GameFAQs as a source is an issue. The refideas section at the top of the talk page lists some potential print media sources - I've also performed a cursory search on Archive.org for futher coverage and added Video Games & Computer Entertainment (Issue 9, October 1989, p. 34) and Nintendo Power (Issue 5, March-April 1989, p. 82) reviews to refideas.
