editI decided to create this page after learning about the existence of the Mafia Monograph. However I have not read this or know its contents. I feel that this page can serve as a good start for people more familiar with the Mafia Monograph. They can summarize the four parts of the article and talk about its significance and relevance to the FBI today.
Hope those familiar will choose to contribute to this article.

- This article is now a redirect. The way to deal with this publication is to cite it in articles about the Mafia. The document is available on-line for download at https://vault.fbi.gov/Mafia%20Monograph and elsewhere. A proper citation would appear to be
- Mafia. Federal Bureau of Investigations. July 1958. Retrieved 16 April 2022 – via FBI Records: The Vault: Mafia Monograph.
- In order to write an article about the Mafia Monograph one needs reliable sources that are independent of the document itself in order to refer to and verify the article, so that it is not original research. The only available reliable source appears to be the monograph itself or various republications of the document. What else exists as commentatary about the document seems to say the document is culturally significant. It may be better to discuss this document in an articles about the FBI or the American Mafia rather than as a separate article. Unfortunately, Wikipedia is not the place to reproduce the document content; if one wants to do that consider Wikisource.
