Main Picture
editThe current picture seems like a strange and inappropriate choice. The point of a main picture is to represent how the person normally looks. While she is smiling and this is a more recent picture than her usual, it's a face that she doesn't normally make in pictures that distorts the shape of her face frankly, and her clothing is extremely revealing for wikipedia. Suggest finding a different recent picture. ~2026-37307-0 (talk) 05:31, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- If you can find an image that is not under copyright, please upload it. -- Ssilvers (talk) 06:04, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- I note that the infobox image had only been in place for 6 days when the TA made this post. After seeing the image mentioned on a site I won't name, I'm about to switch in a slightly cropped version that I found on Commons, File:Maddie Ziegler at WWD Style Awards 2026 (cropped).jpg. I don't know about the facial expression point, but the cropped version is a bit less revealing. I've already made the switch on Wikidata. Yngvadottir (talk) 06:58, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
- That didn't help at all, and your coy explanation is also not helpful (I'm guessing that you mean that you saw it on a porn site). I've substituted the better image discussed below. -- Ssilvers (talk) 14:32, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
- No, what I mean is that the image I replaced was mentioned at Wikipediocracy in a thread on bad images of BLPs, and that it gratuitously displayed her erect nipples. If she's reading here, my apologies both for drawing public attention to the critique on that site, and for inadvertently leading you to draw that inference. (I've said at Wikipediocracy that I don't like the image you've replaced it with, either, because of the expression the photographer caught, but I'll defer to your taste on that.) - Ah! I was right: it is not helpful to be coy. I agree with Wikipediocracy that the 2026 image is really quite bad, as already pointed out above. I don't think explicitness of the image is "gratuitous", as Ziegler chose to wear that dress to the event knowing that photos there would show her nipples through the dress in this way. I think it more likely that, like many young actresses and models at such events, she was making a statement about being "all grown up". See also WP:NOTCENSORED. I agree that neither image is very good, but at least in the 2024 image, she is very recognizable. I think it's clearly the better of the two. But as I've said, if anyone can find a better free one (even a better screenshot from the same video), that would be an improvement. -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:40, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
Dance Training
editMaddie Ziegler has also trained in hip hop, as seen on the show Dance Moms, where she competed in multiple hip hop group dances. Chloelee1103 (talk) 20:05, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
Adding image to section RFC
editShould the article add the image to section like this.

- Why was an RFC needed for this? There doesn't appear to have been any prior discussion (per WP:RFCBEFORE) on this image previously. ―Howard • 🌽33 13:48, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
- Cannot believe I got pinged for this. Discuss with others first. (Talk) PHLOGISTON ENTHUSIAST 13:52, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
- You don't need a full-blown thirty-day formal WP:RFC for this. Just discuss in the normal way. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 18:49, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
- Is this really a free image? -- Ssilvers (talk) 04:06, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
- While that was my first thought too, it sure is. The video it's captured from () is licensed CC-BY, so the image is appropriately licensed that way as well. (Otherwise agreed with the above; do WP:RFCBEFORE, well, before you call for an RfC. There may turn out to be no need for one at all.) Seraphimblade Talk to me 14:49, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Wrong image
editThe lead image should be the 2026 one not the 2024 one the 2024 should be on a body @Ssilvers could you please change the image to 2026 image not the 2024. Octaviyanti Dwi Wahyurini (talk) 12:00, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
- I disagree. You have not given any reasons why you think this. I agree with the user above who stated that the 2026 image is very poor because it does not accurately depict the subject's typical appearance. -- Ssilvers (talk) 17:05, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
