Fair use rationale for Image:MTVSEA2000.jpg

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. MTV Asia not MTV Southeast Asia

Hi, I think you (referring to the author who created of this Wikipage) misinterpreted the whole thing. There's no such thing as MTV Southeast Asia as what you are trying to induce. The official MTV channels available in Asia are, namely, MTV Asia (which covers the whole Asian region except when there are MTV localize channels), MTV China, MTV Taiwan/Hong Kong, MTV Pakistan, MTV Korea, MTV Turkey, MTV India, MTV Japan, MTV Thailand and MTV Philippines which apparently ceased broadcast in early 2010. According to its official web site, www.mtv.com, MTV Asia is listed as its official channel line up. Countries like the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia etc. uses the MTV Asia feed and not MTV Southeast Asia. Webwires (talk) 13:33, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

MTV (Asian TV channel) → MTV (Southeast Asia)MTV (Southeast Asia) – Seems as if editors past and present just love to move articles to any title without first thinking about the article content in question – that's exactly what I'm seeing here! To avert a premier account block, I've enacted a fresh RM for engagement. Sure MTV can mean anything, but an article with a sharp focus on a single area than individually perception is mind boggling. Also, unless an actual MTV Aisa exists for some sort of ambiguity to arise, the "TV channel" disambiguator ain't needed! Intrisit (talk) 14:50, 19 August 2025 (UTC)

Oppose. Current title is the correct title for channels and networks. "MTV" is not a "Southeast Asia", it is a "channel". The proposal removes the entire point of the disambiguation. Gonnym (talk) 10:15, 25 August 2025 (UTC)
