Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks → ULM WarhawksULM Warhawks – Per WP:COMMONNAME- This name seems to be the common identifier for the university's athletics programs, other than "UL Monroe" per online sources such as ESPN. I cannot find a previous discussion disputing the current name over "ULM." This should be the consensus. To add, it appears the "–Monroe" moniker was used to decipher itself from the previously-titled Louisiana–Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns, prior to its move to Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns a few years ago. Vataxevader (talk) 00:47, 27 June 2025 (UTC)

• Oppose as I said on the bunded nomination Talk:Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks football#Requested move 1 July 2025. "as someone who was a part of one of the UL-Lafayette to Lousisiana debates (I was against moving until WP:COMMONNAME was established as Louisiana), I will use the same arguments here. ESPN uses UL Monroe, . CBS uses Louisiana–Monroe , NBC uses Lousiana–Monroe . This is still like it was around 2016 for UL-Lafayette. If national media changes their branding I will support a move to ULM as COMMONNAME, as I did for the Ragin' Cajuns for the UL Lafayette page move in 2017. We do not worry about how universities label their programs.
