Political Impact

Who is infuriated? With whom are they infuriated?

> After showcasing footage of the imprisoned Guzman and calling him a “monster” on live national television, public opinion polls showed his popularity from 85% to a drastic 60%.[4]

Whose public opinion polls fell from 85% to 60%? Why did these polls drop?

> Until Fujimori’s presidency, the political left could not politically develop or engage those where power was lost and restored by the Shining Path, which ultimately hurt any policymaking and civil participation from said communities.

What is this section trying to say? The political left was suppressed and unable to advocate for the supporters of Shining Path until Fujimori came into power?
