Opposite Meaning

Am I the only one that has a problem with the construction of this term? Transparency is the ability to see inside a system, but the property called "location transparency" is the opposite of transparency. It is far more opaque than transparent; the physical location is hidden or obscured, by virtualization or abstraction. Any one of the following terms seems much more suitable: location abstraction, location virtualization, location hiding, location aliasing, location agnostic.

Of course, I can't use logic to alter how a term is already used, but if anyone knows how this term came about, this glaring contradiction needs to be addressed in the article. AgentFriday (talk) 21:33, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

As I understood is location transparency is a little bit more than the article says. Services and resources that can be found, instead of hardwired are location transparent. Or not? In that sense is Jini location transparent?  Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.183.100.100 (talk) 19:44, 3 December 2007‎
