Overall:
Interesting article. One of my main complaints is that of the sources should be formatted properly. Many are written in Chinese and should be specified as such, and many only have urls, titles, and websites (i.e. missing dates, access dates, authors, etc.). Nevertheless, the main hook is interesting enough, although when I used Google Translate on the provided source, it didn't explicitly say the hook, all I found was I don't have a phone in my hometown, and I don't want to go back. Unless I'm misreading it (or Google Translate is failing me), is there another source that explicitly supports the main hook? ALT2 is the more interesting hook of the two (to me) and is sourced, although I would reword it to something like ... that Liu Shasha was the youngest winner of the WPA Women's World Nine-ball Championship at age 16? – zmbro (talk) (cont) 16:36, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- Whoops, ref is this one:- ,
Furthermore, Liu Shasha doesn't even have a mobile phone yet. "What's the point of a mobile phone? I can just use a landline to call home. Besides, I have very poor self-control. If I had one, I'd definitely be playing games or surfing the internet all the time, and I wouldn't be able to play billiards well."

- I've done a light copyedit of the article; let me know if you have any issues.
- Yeah, no drama, it's not my strongest suit, I'll admit. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:08, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
- Article is stable, neutral, focused, and broad. No images—there don't seem to be any on Commons.
- I did do a scour and looked for something I could use. Nothing on Flikr, couldn't get any help on reddit. Don't think there's a suitable way to handle this with fair use. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:08, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
- Most sources seem good. Concerned about the following:
- [Fu Xiaofang and Liu Shasha, the billiards sisters] from "All journals"—not seeing anything citeable from the dubious website as WP:HEADLINES aren't reliable.
- Not sure what's happening. There was an article here. I think All Journals is a publication reader website, but it looks like it's been hacked or some such. Happy to remove it, it's not citing anything additional. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:08, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
- One of my scripts is indicating that citation 74 is considered unreliable on zh.wiki (pointing to zh:Wikipedia:可靠来源/常见有争议来源列表). From what I can gather, Toutiao is like a Chinese cross between Google News and Buzzfeed. If there's an underlying source, it would be best to cite that directly.
- I got as far as , but couldn't find the bit about this page. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:17, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
- The BLP-relevant claim about her children is cited to this website, which doesn't load for me—could you provide a quote?
- It's this .
From world champion to mother of two
. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:17, 16 May 2026 (UTC) - Unsure why page is broken. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:19, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
- It's this .
- One of the sources for the promotional claim "She was both the youngest winner of the event and the first to win coming through qualification" is an equipment sponsor, I believe, so not really WP:INDEPENDENT.
- I'm not really sure this is a promotional claim. Being the youngest to do something, or to be a qualifier is quite a normal point in sports (so much so, we often shout about people being the second youngest to do something). Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:19, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
- [Fu Xiaofang and Liu Shasha, the billiards sisters] from "All journals"—not seeing anything citeable from the dubious website as WP:HEADLINES aren't reliable.
- I'll do a source spotcheck once the above issues are resolved. Putting on hold for now. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 20:58, 12 May 2026 (UTC)

Just a couple of issues to resolve Lee Vilenski; nothing to prevent promotion. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 22:39, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
- Re: source 4:- it says 8-ball tables (or at least my translation does). Chinese eight-ball is actually a different game from Eight-ball. There's an argument that it isn't pool, it's pocket billiards, and the rest of the article says she learns to play billiards (and indeed, billiards is sometimes used as a catch all for all games played with balls on a table). The important part is that she started playing Nine-ball quite late, despite that being her main game. The quote is that she found the smaller Nine-ball tables easier to play on because she was used to a Chinese eitht-ball table, which are significantly larger than a nine or eight-ball table (and have tighter pockets).
