Yuhi VI Bushayija???

edit

Looking at the older regnal names, it seems that the rwandan "formula" is: regnal name, regnal number, followed by given name prior to ascension to the throne. It would appear that Yuhi VI given name is Emmanuel and that his surname is Bushayija. For this reason, would it not be Yuhi VI Emmanuel? Until clarification, I have omitted the Bushayija from the regnal name. --Jonar242 (talk) 22:38, 10 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi Idzubamithra and Sundostund. I'm opening this discussion here to talk about what information should be added to the article based on the recent additions made by Idzubamithra, which I reverted because it appears to fail verifiability policy. Part of the reason I realized this was still going on was because of a note Sundostund left on my talk page asking for input. I'm hoping we can avoid any edit warring by discussing the proposed additions before we make controversial changes to the article. On my talk page, Idzubamithra indicated there aren't sources for the additions being made. Am I interpreting your message correctly Idzubamithra? What do you think of the content being added, Sundostund? I am (very) far from an expert in this subject. --tony 19:16, 24 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

@TonySt: Thank you for opening this discussion. My opinion of the content being added (which you yourself described as appearing to fail verifiability policy) is pretty much obvious, and I stressed it in one of the reverts I made: Idzubamithra's preferred version(s) of the article likely fails both WP:RS and WP:OR, and also involve the removal of a clearly reliable source (Stewart) three times within the list. Also, their message on your talk page – about the lack of sources for their additions to the article – speaks for itself. Finally, the unencyclopedic way/style in which their additions are written and presented is more than obvious, and shouldn't be a part of an article in the English Wikipedia. — Sundostund mppria (talk / contribs) 19:32, 24 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Just for the record, I have also asked for input at several related/relevant talk pages – namely here, here and here. — Sundostund mppria (talk / contribs) 09:22, 25 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
I am a Rwandan Historian. We know our history. And we will never standby while some none Rwandan dictatates what what our history should sound like. Thats what Stewart is trying to do. We will never allow it to happen. Rwanda is currently trying to introduce its full kept in Oral form to the world and bits of it is being bublished. We know who we are, not what some stranger claiming to be a researcher wants us to be. Thank you. Idzubamithra (talk) 09:01, 26 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
I am a Rwandan historian. We know our history, and we will not stand by while non-Rwandans attempt to dictate what our history should sound like. That is precisely what Stewart is trying to do—and we will not allow it. Rwanda is now in the process of introducing to the world the fullness of its history, long preserved in oral form, with parts of it already being published. We know who we are—not what an outsider claiming to be a researcher wishes to define us as. Thank you Idzubamithra (talk) 09:03, 26 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
