List of OSCAR satellites
editHi, I don't understand why Draft:List of OSCAR satellites was rejected and at the same time entry List of OSCAR satellites was created, which is basically the page I wrote. --Sinucep (talk) 21:20, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
- Howdy. Thanks for your message. Happy New Year! Whilst most of the content in the draft list was fine, the layout was not. Refer to MOS:LIST for comprehensive advice. Whilst I did not reject the draft list article, in my opinion, the layout stretched wider than the width of a normal page, and was unreadable on mobile devices; the page was devoid of references; the draft page content was bolded on the first and last columns (unnecessary); the date formatting was inconsiderate to the reader, given the page width; there was massive overlinking of countries, launch vehicles, and operators; and it was not clear when launch vehicles were launched on the same date with multiple OSCAR payloads. Finally, there was slight timing overlap between me creating the approved list article and you submitting the draft. I stripped out the list content from the substantive article on OSCAR satellites as it added no value in the article; and should have been established as a list in the first instance when you added the content with this edit. I moulded the stripped out list content to be slightly more readable to viewers (it's not perfect) in accordance with MOS:LIST. I hope this helps. Rangasyd (talk) 00:36, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Rangasyd, the problem is you deleted the code I wrote and used it to create another page without going through the draft. So, I, the creator of the content and the one who created the draft, was rejected, and now the page I translated manually from German during my vacation appears to be yours.

- @Rangasyd, there are still guidelines which should be followed. WP:Copying within Wikipedia and WP:Splitting are the two relevant to this topic. It would be nice that "the other editor attribute the table to original article" (see step 5, #4 on WP:Splitting). --Sinucep (talk) 14:49, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Sinucep: Thanks for the pick-up. Corrected via WP:RIA. Apologies for the oversight. Let me know if any further attribution is warranted. Cheers. Rangasyd (talk) 00:17, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
