NATO and Iraq
editI am wondering if this article should include mention of NATO Training Mission – Iraq. This would depend on what is meant by "operations." This was a training mission, not a combat mission.
Sorry, but this was not a training mission. The name was "Operation ACE GUARD". If it was a training mission, the name would have been "Exercise ACE GUARD." The deployed aircraft, air-to-air batteries and personnel were all armed. The deployed assets did not get involved in armed confrontations, but they were ready to engage when ordered to do so.
