Aftermath section
editThe middle part of the current version of the "Aftermath" section is unclear. It reads:
The pardon law issued by the Italian Parliament on 29 July 2006 reduced all convictions by three years. On 7 July 2006, Fusco and Federico were acquitted by the Milan Appeals Court. The controller Zacchetti's sentence was reduced to three years. In addition three more people were sentenced for multiple manslaughter and negligent disaster: former ENAV director general Fabio Marzocca to four years and four months, and; former SEA airports agency officials Antonio Cavanna and Lorenzo Grecchi each to three years and three months.
First, the pardon is dated after the date of the acquittal given in the sentence after it, and it is not clear why it is misordered in that way. Also, it's not clear who it applies to; if it applies to the sentences in the preceding part of the paragraph, then it implies that the pardon was in part for Fusco and Federico who were already acquitted on appeal several weeks before the pardon (& thus nonsensical).
Was Zacchetti's reduction by the same appeal? When were the "three more people" sentenced? Wouldn't that have happened before the July 2006 actions, and thus about the time of the sentences given in the opening of the paragraph, and hence reduced by 3 years by the pardon?
Not helping, none of these statements have references. I had been thinking of trying to straighten out the prose, but then saw not enough was included to determine how the narrative should be structured. -- R. S. Shaw (talk) 21:07, 2 May 2022 (UTC)

Linate Airport disaster → 2001 Linate Airport runway collision – The current title is not a common name in english language reliable sources and WP:DISASTER generally recommends that the titling of an article should not include "disaster". WP:NCE#Aviation recommends that if two or more aircraft are involved, a where and what should generally be followed, which in this case is (Milan) Linate Airport and runway collision. And as for consistency, most articles on events where two or more aircraft collided generally use a <year> <location/airport> <(runway) collision> format, which overall, would make the title more descriptive whilst staying concise and precise. 2001 Linate Airport runway collision → 2001 Linate runway collision – The current title is unwieldy and way too long. The use of the word airport is really not necessary since "runway" is also in the title. Zaptain United (talk) 04:04, 9 November 2025 (UTC)

Oppose - What is a "Linate"? Current title gives a clear indication of what the article is about. Mjroots (talk) 09:22, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose per Mjroots. The current title is in line with WP:PRECISE in giving immediate clarity on what the article is going to talk about. S5A-0043🚎(Talk) 13:58, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose - The current title is correct. Denisarona (talk) 06:22, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose - Existing title is faster to comprehend: "2099 Lword Airport runway collision" is better than "2099 Lword runway collision" because the less familiar word can be more quickly understood as being a name of an airport because of common occurrence of the "<name> Airport" phrase, unlike a rare "<name> runway" phrase. --R.
