Quote
editFirst paragraph, Quote: 'Dialogus de musica (ca. 1000), by Odo' -- Several sources on the internet state that this manuscript has been falsely attributed to Odo (d'Arrezzo)... the manuscript is most often marked as an 'anonymous' manuscript. Can someone verify this? Jabba67 (talk) 18:28, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Letter Notation
editBah! Please rewrite the original article (I can't, I'm not a musicologist). See, for example, http://www.lesession.co.uk/abc/noterange.htm for something practical on this subject Gunth1u (talk) 05:44, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
- I assume you're talking about this sentence: "In traditional Irish music, where almost all tunes are restricted to two octaves, notes in the lower octave are written in lower case while those in the upper octave are written in upper case." It was unsourced and seems to be the exact opposite of what your link shows and how ABC notation does it. Onlynone (talk) 15:54, 6 February 2026 (UTC)
