Outdated version listed - 4.1.0 and 4.2.0 both have been released, however 4.0.0 is still listed as the current version on the article.
editOn the version table in the article, we see version 4.0.0 marked in green and with no further information. This is outdated however, as 4.1.0 and 4.2.0 have come out. [1]

In fact as of today, the current version was issued in November 2025. Is there some reason no editors are paying attention to this product? ~2025-36222-08 (talk) 18:15, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- yes, the reason being that people use GNOME Disks and GParted instead. I completed the table now, but it have difficulty finding documentation on the made changes. It seems they force-bump the version-number regardless whether changes were made to KDE Partition Manager or not to the current number of KDE Gear… I can see that work was done in 2022 to port it to Qt6, but I cannot say which release is then really dependent on Qt6… User:ScotXWt@lk 12:44, 6 January 2026 (UTC)

- https://kde.org/announcements/changelogs/gear/25.04.0/ mentions "kpmcore" which was split from partitionmanager:
- * Fix a memory leak by actually freeing a correct pointer. Commit.
- * Kpmcore tests seem to require C++20. Adjust test/CMakeLists.txt accordingly. Commit.
- * Add lazy_itable_init=0 and lazy_journal_init=0 to ext4 features. Commit.
- * Add xml/yaml linting. Commit.
- * Add operation to set partition label. Commit.
- * Add 1 to handleWidth in partresize widget. Commit. Fixes bug #499064.
- * Allow applications to set the LUKS2 PBKDF. Commit.
- * Limix exfat labels to 11 characters. Commit. Fixes bug #496400. User:ScotXWt@lk 13:01, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
