NPV Issue

The introductory paragraph states: "His books are written in an engaging and humorous style. The books are richly illustrated and easily accessible." This sounde like mere flattery, and not a useful description within an introductory paragraph written in NPV. I'm a bit of a wikipedia noob, so I'd like to hear from others.
