There seems to be a definite family background, in Tavistock. Unfortunately I'm not finding it in sources that can be quoted in the article.

John Bennett and Martha Whitchurch apparently had at least three children: John Whitchurch Bennett (born 1790), Sarah Whitchurch Bennett (born 1800) who married the starch manufacturer James Bryant, and Henry Whitchurch Bennett (baptised 1794, died Bengal 1824).

The wife's name is more likely Elizabeth Luttrell Moriarty, from Reading, Berkshire. Charles Matthews (talk) 06:32, 22 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
