The sword from Frederick the Great

edit

The sword was not from Frederick the great. The claim in the Wikipedia article is supplemented by original research. A cursory glance of the literature indicates that this is a myth.

I know that the article acknowledges that it is only hearsay but it does not leave clear that this was not true.

More reputable sources have been added disputing the claim of the sword. check citations. Chefs-kiss (talk) 15:29, 5 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Confederates Pounce?

edit

That a black man was the first casualty of an insurrection whose purpose was to aid blacks, and that he disobeyed the raiders, made him a hero of the "Lost Cause" pro-Confederacy movement

Seems oddly worded unless the intent is to distract from Brown killing an uninvolved black guy by saying how awful it is that people noticed he killed an uninvolved black guy. That said, it's no surprise. 207.32.162.180 (talk) 17:12, 25 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
