Jollofgate

edit

Shouldn't Jamie Oliver's controversies include his Jollof rice recipe that sparked internet outrage? 129.119.235.17 (talk) 14:49, 15 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Where are his controversies? 2601:405:4900:54B0:14B7:FB05:6FAD:8D15 (talk) 07:14, 10 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Inconsistent birth years

edit

The article says Jamie Oliver was born in 1975, but in the search results on the main page, it says 1973. 195.249.116.254 (talk) 07:36, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, the 1975 year in the short description was wrong. Now corrected. Martinevans123 (talk) 11:30, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

British or English?

edit

Should Oliver be described as English or British? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 14:24, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Education

Westminster Kingsway College has rebranded to Capital City College https://www.capitalccg.ac.uk/ 194.82.132.106 (talk) 10:03, 12 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Westminster Kingsway College should really be corrected first. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:05, 12 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Second-best-selling British author

edit

"Oliver is the second-best-selling British author, behind J. K. Rowling, and the best-selling British non-fiction author. As of February 2019, Oliver had sold more than 14.55 million books."

There is no source for this. It's unclear was second-best-selling British author actually means. Lifetime, total, number of books, revenue. If total is meant, other British authors are listed before: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_fiction_authors If currently writing authors, this also doesn't seem to be the case anymore, but is old information. https://www.thebookseller.com/features/2024s-bestselling-authors-so-far-julia-donaldson-remains-tops

The only source where I found the statement is "Oliver is the second-best-selling British author" is from 2012 also based on bookseller in the article.
