Young Lincoln

edit

I had initially added the sculpture Young Lincoln to the list of works in this article, but it appears to have been created by a different artist of the same name. The Hansen biography cited in the references here does not match up with the known details of the sculptor of Young Lincoln, who was a 23-year-old working in Los Angeles in 1941, not a 16-year-old in high school in Washington, and sat for an interview with the Los Angeles Times after winning the competition for which the piece was created. For reference, here is the description and reference source (the GSA web site quotes the LA Times article):

I found life data for the other James Lee Hansen and added it to the Young Lincoln page, so there should no longer be any confusion.  == Peter NYC 14:57, 24 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
