Why fictional characters in movies, books and television are notable is beyond me. Appears that https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(fictional_characters) is very leniently written, to the effect that we have massive number of pages about popular invented/imaginary characters. The notability and references of tags have been up for almost a half a year and this article has not improved at all. I will be restoring the redirect to the character list. Eric the fever (talk) 00:03, 22 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

I would support the redirect of all fictional characters to the main page for the work of fiction. To have Wikipedia become a repository of character bios of all popular fictional characters would be a disservice imo. Oathed (talk) 23:27, 9 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
