ironically
editThe article says, "Ironically, Bourassa's moves aided in the election of the Conservatives, who held more staunchly Imperialist policies than the Liberals." It was said that there were transaction between them. The article doesn't clarify this. Jackzhp 18:49, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
"ultramontane"
editThe article needs to explain how "the idea that the Church was responsible for faith, morals, discipline, and administration" is ultramontane (and perhaps indicate what is being administered).--Richardson mcphillips (talk) 01:19, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
Politician
editThis article is written about him as a philosopher, but he was also an elected Politician for most of this time in various places. This needs to be recorded better somehow for those doing research on him as a politician. Nickjbor (talk) 06:24, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
Inconsistent Dates
editThe article says that Bourassa was born in 1868, yet also says he played a major role in the Canadian conference of 1867. 67.21.158.14 (talk) 00:32, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- The article says, "Bourassa was also a defining force in forging French Canada's attitude to the Canadian Confederation of 1867." This is a true statement -- during his lifetime, Bourassa helped to define French Canada's attitude to the ongoing reality of Canadian Confederation (which, of course, was established in 1867). Obviously, though, the line could be misread to mean that Bourassa took part in the original Confederation debates, which is patently false.
- Could I suggest, "Bourassa was also influential in defining French Canada's perspective on Canadian Confederation in the early twentieth century." CJCurrie (talk) 02:55, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
