Recent addition to Operation Free Space section
editis it okay to use the official Helldivers 2 twitter account as a source? new to wikipedia proper so i dont know Legitpoodros (talk) 21:01, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
:i think so since it's official and you can use YouTube as a sorce on articles Idostuffandyes (talk) 17:14, 12 February 2026 (UTC) If I'm reading the rules right, this falls under WP:SOCKSTRIKE, like earlier on the page, which this comment somehow avoided. Also, I'm pretty sure YouTube is not a source. Sorry if this was out of line, but this has irked me for a while. Username?WhyNotZoidberg? (talk) 00:00, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
Remove "Reference in the assassination of Charlie Kirk" section
edit@Solaire the knight Pinging here since you were the one who reverted my deletion earlier
The main motivation for the deletion comes from the fact that nothing ever came of the whole subject. While it's true the engraving on one of the bullets carried by the perpetrator was a clear Helldivers reference, there was no actual mounting controversy that resulted in Arrowhead (the developers) being required to give out a statement, and in turn the whole thing came and went without any other incidents. It pretty much felt like a nothingburger people were trying to use to target the game and the developers.
As such, I feel this is reason enough to remove this section from the page as it carries no actual lasting value or contribution to the page. I'm going to go ahead and revert again but if you still disagree, please let me know in this section why and we can try and come to a resolution ~2026-70285-2 (talk) 20:09, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
- What concerns us most is this description in authoritative sources and the resulting connection to the article. The fact that none of this materialized in the long term is secondary. We describe what authoritative sources represent, regardless of our personal opinion about it. I also want to warn you in advance that continuing the edit war, especially in the form of using discussion or comments as an "excuse" for reverting the edit, may be seen as an escalation of the edit war. why is this on the Heldivers 2 talk page what? Idostuffandyes (talk) 17:16, 12 February 2026 (UTC)- I think that should be removed but also moved to the Charlie Kirk article if they don't have it. Kaiserdiver (talk) 20:09, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
yeah it has more relation to the assassination then the game Idostuffandyes (talk) 12:24, 3 March 2026 (UTC)do ya think I should remove it and add it there Ieditsandyes (talk) 21:33, 18 March 2026 (UTC)

I think we should add a Magor order catagorey
editit DOSNT need to be all of them maybe just like the Magor ones like the ones for Cyberstan as of writing this or the fight for super earth from last year or oshaune Idostuffandyes (talk) 17:50, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
- Check the setting category, also its typed Major Order. Oatmilkknotexpired (talk) 13:31, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
should we add the cover image changes
editjust asking since with each update the cover changes and right now the main image is the realease cover think we can keep it but also we could maybe spread the different covers for the game throughout the article like the news one for cyberstan the oshaune bg one the illuminate ones when they invaded super earth maybe even that cover that was made while the automatons took over the socials what do you think Ieditsandyes (talk) 19:13, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- I think we could do that but we should do a voting, the democratic way, and see if yes or no wins. Kaiserdiver (talk) 17:14, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
- No, its release cover is the most common cover. If there is any concern that its cover is changing all the time, we can change to only including the logo (see articles for Fall Guys, Fortnite, Valorant etc.) OceanHok (talk) 10:55, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
well it is an encyclopedia and with each update arrowhead has a new cover and adding them would give more info about the game Ieditsandyes (talk) 00:00, 8 March 2026 (UTC)- Then change to the logo if you want. It is not feasible to change the cover every time a new update launches. OceanHok (talk) 03:22, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
I mean if you look at the pattern there’s only really 2 major updates a year with 2 new covers Ieditsandyes (talk) 03:05, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
- Then change to the logo if you want. It is not feasible to change the cover every time a new update launches. OceanHok (talk) 03:22, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
similarity to Deep Rock Galactic
editI can't help but notice how similar the game is to Deep Rpck Galactic. It must have drawn inspiration from it. Someone should mention this, looking for sources so as to not add our own research here.

- So if you didnt know, Helldivers is based off of Starship Troopers. If there is a similarity to Deep Rock Galactic, then it must be entirely coincidental. Oatmilkknotexpired (talk) 13:39, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
Warbond Token
editIn the description of gameplay and the mechanics, the section is ended by the sentence "On 26 August 2025, coinciding with the game's release on the Xbox platform, Arrowhead introduced a "Warbond Token" that allowed players to purchase one Warbond of their choosing. This token was previously only available in the game's deluxe "Super Citizen Edition"." I haven't checked the accompanying source, but I highly doubt it says this. The Warbond Token did not exist in the game before the Xbox release, which added it to the Super Citizen Edition in place of a specific Warbond (Steeled Veterans) for free. It cannot be purchased individually or separately and is only available in the Super Citizen Edition as of the Xbox release. I can't, but someone should find a source that supports this and/or review the provided source to ensure that the text in the article lines up with the source, because the current article is simply incorrect in this regard. ~2026-28993-58 (talk) 20:33, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
