New Article

edit

Ok, the user @GA-RT-22 has made some modifications to the article and I appreciate it BUUUT First of all the Museum IS in Pisté, as I could see in Google Maps (link below).

Now about the references, I accept that it is my mistake not to place them correctly (I did it as external links). I created the quick article as an outline to be able to add the photos I recently took of the museum (since, as you saw, there are none yet on Wikipedia). I will work on placing the references where they go.

About the “event in progress”... I doubted a lot about that template BUT in Mexico there is a bad practice of inaugurating things without them being finished, so much of the official information is, in fact, false, since there are big sections of the museum that have not been inaugurated yet, so, since I visited the museum these days and corroborated that the official information is partial, I considered better to put that template. I would ask you to put it, but I leave it up to your discretion. I don't know if @BoyTheKingCanDance can help?

It is not in Pisté. If you search on "Pisté" in Google maps you can see the boundaries of the town. The border is at Tacos Don Lencho. The museum is 1.6 km east of there, next to the old airport.
I don't know about the refs. I just put them into a list because they weren't formatted correctly. I have not checked them so I don't know whether they support anything in the article, but if they do, you need inline citations. The way you put them in makes it impossible to check anything in the article against the refs, because we don't know what ref supports which material. See Wikipedia:Inline citation.
The "current event" template seems wrong to me, this is a museum, not an event. Let's see if anyone else has an opinion. GA-RT-22 (talk) 13:38, 19 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Well, it seems absurd to me to have this discussion, on the government page about the museum this official address is given.
“Comisaría de Pisté
CP 97750
Pisté, Tinum, Yucatán.”
It is clear that it is not in the town, but it is in the territory OF THE town, I would refer, rather than speculation, to the address of the federal government source.
About the references, as I already pointed out, you are right, it is something I will correct right away.

It has a Pisté mailing address because that is the nearest post office. But we don't need to have this discussion, you just need to find a reliable source that says it's in the town (not that it has a mailing address in the town). GA-RT-22 (talk) 17:07, 19 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
