Feedback from New Page Review process
editI hope this is the right place to leave a comment. This entry has an image that is not what it says it is. The image is of crinoidal limestone, possibly from Derbyshir. It is not Frosterley marble. I'm not sure how to correct this error. Also, I have never seen Frosterley marble described as containing crinoids. Instead, as noted elsewhere in the article, these are fossil corals.

- This statement is correct. Crinoid fragments are exceptionally rare in the Frosterley Marble as are brachiopods. The fauna comprises almost exclusively of the solitary rugosa coral Dibunophyllum along with occasional examples of Koninckophyllum. The photo provided is NOT Frosterley Marble. 2A0A:EF40:796:FF01:5906:F5A9:DA54:2FB6 (talk) 10:34, 7 June 2025 (UTC)

Observations about an image
editThis image is certainly NOT of fossil crinoids. The photo shows fossil corals, similar to the Dibunophyllum which is very common in Frosterley Marble. There are several longitudinal, and many tranverse sections shown. This photo looks like a typical piece of Frosterley Marble. Also the description says that crinoids occur in this stone. They are very rare. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Planicosta57 (talk • contribs) 15:16, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks. I have adjusted the caption. Is that better? (P.S. Remember to sign your comments, which is generally done with a string of four tilde characters: ~~~~.) Feline Hymnic (talk) 17:19, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
