This article should specify the language of its non-English content, using [undefined] Error: {{Lang}}: no text (help), [undefined] Error: {{Transliteration}}: missing language / script code (help) for transliterated languages, and for phonetic transcriptions, with an appropriate ISO 639 code. Wikipedia's multilingual support templates may also be used. 209.215.2.40 (talk) 04:10, 20 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Using template {{textdiff}} may help. Mathglot (talk) 09:19, 20 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

I'm asking for ambiguous and confusing phrasing in the 'Vocabulary' section to be changed. Please edit "Lexical similarity is" to "French's lexical similarity to other living languages is" because that is the most confusing phrasing in the section. Edit "other Asian languages" and "other Afro-Asiatic languages" to, perhaps, "Asian languages not listed above" and "Afro-Asiatic languages not listed above." Partly done: I fixed the first part, but I think the existing wording of "other ... languages" is clear in meaning those not mentioned earlier. DrOrinScrivello (talk) 17:03, 31 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

New OIF Report

edit

Hi, there is a new report by the OIF studying French usage in the world and the distribution of French speakers. You can access it here: https://www.francophonie.org/ressources?type=394&theme=All. I tried to incorporate some of this info, but unclear if we want a different source to update the header and other info. This info can also be used in other pages (geographic distribution of French speakers, African French, etc.). Joiedevivre123321 (talk) 23:23, 28 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
