editI saw that the page is "in need of an expert". I know enough about Corelli and about opera, that I might be able to be one of the "experts". He is mentioned in a lot of books and magazine articles that I either have or can get. I'd be glad to help clean up this article and will do so as much as I am able. --Bluejay Young (talk) 09:15, 7 June 2008 (UTC) This entry, like many others, makes the dreadful mistake of including the spurious opinions of critics, who have no significance whatsoever, in the face of someone's life and accomplishments. It is the utmost of disrespect to cast shade on the dead, and it is not at all fact, just opinion, and not that of real experts. Any paragraph of Critics or Criticisms should be removed from all entries.~2025-43539-97 (talk) 04:17, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
Photographs and Audio
editI think the article needs to be illustrated with pictures of him in various costumes and I also think that a 30-second sound clip would be appropriate. The problem with the sound clip part is I'm not sure about fair use when it comes to clip recordings, particularly of dead people. Does one obtain permission from the recording company? --Bluejay Young (talk) 10:45, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
References needed
editI noticed that there is no reference at all in this article. I put up the tag so then we could work together to improve it - Jay (talk) 08:19, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Paris debut
editYou say that Corelli made his belated debut in the Paris Opera in 1970. That is a grave mistake. Corelli sang there already in the years 1964/65 with Maria Callas in Tosca and Norma. Both were famous Zeffirelli-productions. These years at the Paris opera were very important for Corelli and on top Maria Callas had a big come-back in 1964. Tito Gobbi was Scarpia in Tosca and Christa Ludwig was Adalgisa in Norma. Corelli had a tremendous success in both productions. Greetings from Germany, Jan de Turovski voice agent ( I visited both productions when I was a student in Paris) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.184.41.65 (talk) 20:39, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
- Well, you can fix it, you know. Just go into the article and correct anything that is wrong. Be sure to add references from newspapers or magazines that verify your information. --Bluejay Young (talk) 15:01, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
