Talk:Fate/Hollow Ataraxia
| Fate/Hollow Ataraxia was nominated as a Video games good article, but it did not meet the good article criteria at the time (June 24, 2026, reviewed version). There are suggestions on the review page for improving the article. If you can improve it, please do; it may then be renominated. |
| The following reference(s) may be useful when improving this article in the future: |
Clarification
editThis article sorta 'jumps around', Someone needs to clarify how all the servants are present, etc.
Names
editThe whole Shirou/Avenger thing looks really, really messy. Might I suggest changing it? (Ie: Use only one name) Mirioki 15:15, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
Quality
editI think the majority of this article needs to be rewritten, not for content, but for phrasing and organization. Most of the stuff is poorly written and appears to just be copy and pasted from somewhere else.
The BIG problem
editAll right, the big problem with the Ataraxia page is that the spoilers are ALL on the main page... which means one thing... We need to make character and synopsis pages and move the spoilers into respective character pages...
By the way, is this copy pasted from the Moonlit World website? If so then... ugh... not again... Oh well, Moonlit World seems to be the only reference for non-japanese speakers, but it's a pity that we have to depend on that site for information... Mirioki 23:35, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Cleanup & Wikification
editI will try to fix, wikify, clean-up and re-furnish this entry. I've added a better introduction, more details in the infobox, and will try to re-write and clean the plot summary and character info later. - Ganryuu 15:30, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- I will not be touching this article until FSN itself is finished; this is a bloody mess in and of itself and to tackle this on too...meh, I'll probably lose interest before I even try. Terek 05:20, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe you'll have more vested interest once someone tries to clean it up more... like my pathetic attempts in the FSN page. And yes, this is a mess... Mirioki 05:27, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- Haha, remember the "Berserker>Shirou" picture that Beast's Lair complained about? Well, to be vocal on a related issue, should we really have a topic in the FHA table of contents entitled, "Shirou dies again"?! Terek 20:55, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- I agree that it's a bit out of place, but lets leave those details for later. I suppose that the first thing this clusterfuck needs is being made look more like the FSN page, so how about creating separate pages for each character with a small introduction in the main article, and then putting the plot summary in a separate article as with the FSN Scenarios? I'm willing to do this, not right now, but I can go at it little by little. Ephyon 16:38, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- 3 years later... fail much? There should be a mention about what Fate/Stay Night is before anyone feels that they should to click on a redirect link on the article to learn more about the franchise. The media section could be covered later, moreover you guys should use other class A-C Anime articles as reference. Contributions/65.94.30.173 (talk) 19:35, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Link with paths of the original game
editThis video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEqAdGjGsxY) seems to suggest that this game has some link with the Heaven's Feel path of the original game. From 0:14 - 0:24 you can clearly see it stated and the video does seem to be official. Anyone know what that's about? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.187.251.54 (talk) 01:16, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Translation?
editIs there a translation patch anywhere in the works? 78.149.85.96 (talk) 20:19, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
- Year and a half response... but yes, people are working on a patch. Progress can be tracked here http://vps.k-link.net/entrans/main.php. 68.255.107.81 (talk) 05:26, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Article has become incomprehensible, and not just because of the plot of the topic
editI know this visual novel / sequel has a plot full of twists and turns, but the addition of a bunch of jargon-packed, run-on sentences have made it impossible for the article to suit its purpose. It reads like complete nonsense at parts. If you have interest in the topic, please work to address the issue. ComicsAreJustAllRight (talk) 19:46, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
Is't it Hollow ataraxia?
editWhy the move? (And an inconsistent capitalisation on the page?) Smeagol 17 (talk) 14:23, 12 May 2026 (UTC)

I'll take a look at this. ~ A412 talk! 05:46, 5 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Veyhola I finished the review, but this needs a lot of work to reach GA. I've seen you work quickly before, so I won't fail it, but fair warning. ~ A412 talk! 05:55, 7 June 2026 (UTC)

modify here? The game was introduced primarily as a fan-disc intended to deliver a more "happier" follow-up to Fate/stay night that allowed the characters to coexist peacefully after the "tragic" events of the original visual novel

which offers different scenarios with courses of interaction
- unclear what this meansThe game ranked as one of the top selling visual novels for the time of its release
- vague, suggestion:The game was the second-best-selling visual novel of 2005
Gameplay
edit- General note: the article doesn't explain what the gameplay is: it says it
abandons the traditional linear gameplay and route-based system
but doesn't say what it is instead. What are players doing moment-to-moment? Is it, like the first game, agame that requires minimal interaction from players
whereplayers come to a decision point where they are given a chance to choose from options displayed on the screen
? Is it anadventure game
as the series article says? If it is, what does that involve? - Image: is the minigame displayed part of the core gameplay? If not, should we choose a screenshot of the core gameplay instead?

Development
edit- The first half of the first paragraph here is a really confusing read. Is it a spin-off? A sequel? A pseudo-sequel? A fan disc? I'd lead with a clear
Fate/hollow ataraxia is a <descriptor> to Fate/stay night.
- Are
Meteo Hoshizora, Aramoto Kei, Hikaru Sakurai, and Morisaki Ryouto
the same as thesub-writers who aided with daily writing and editing
? The manufacturing of the original adult version had since then been suspended
- Move up one sentence to keep in chronological order
Manga
edit- This is confusing. Did the various publishers really name different anthologies identical titles? I don't know how to make this more readable. Maybe a table?
Reception
edit- This is a very thin reception section, it's just sales data. Critical reception is a borderline required section for video games. Is there really none? This game had two re-releases, surely between the three releases there was critical reception.
