Ernest William (Billy) York
editThe information held on this page is incorrect. Ernest is my great uncle, was born in Kettering 3/11/87 and did not die in the war but lived until 3/6/1943. He first played for Kettering before 1912, then moved to play for Palace 1912-1915. He left to serve in the
Military- Acting Leading Seaman Royal Naval Reserves. Known later as “Billy” York after the war he was the first Manager/Coach of Kettering Town (Poppies) 1924-1926. I have his birth and death certificate, photo and his obituary from the Peterborough Standard 11 Jun 1943. How do I go about updating this page information?
