External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on English Chamber Orchestra. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20130518031811/http://www.englishchamberorchestra.co.uk:80/bio.php to http://www.englishchamberorchestra.co.uk/bio.php
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Recording and touring
editIt seems like ECO have been pushing the idea for a while that they are the ‘most recorded’ or ‘most travelled’ orchestra in the world. The first is almost certainly not true – the LSO make a similar but much more believable claim, backed up by greater resources, regular commercial recordings for film/game soundtracks, their own label and about 50 years’ head start. The second claim I can’t find evidence for either way but again seems to be some wishful thinking on the part of the ECO marketing department.
I’m leaving this here in case anyone is thinking re-adding those claims without justification. BobbieCarynBevis (talk) 22:45, 27 August 2025 (UTC)
