"sometimes known inaccurately as the Kingdom of Wei"
editHuh? How is that "inaccurate"? 98.115.255.240 (talk) 04:44, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
- My guess for why someone put that is the Kingdom of Wei would be when Cao Cao (and briefly) Cao Pi were kings, after that Wei was an Empire ruled by Emperor's with King's (Xian and members of the Cao clan) with their kingdoms under it. As eventually would their rivals progress from Kingdoms to Emperors who claimed mandate as such. So strictly speaking, it should be Empire though it is far from unknown for historians to use the term kingdom
- To be honest I think that line is a little pedantic and not needed for Emperor Xian article DongZhuo3kingdoms (talk) 17:09, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
- I agree and have removed the parenthetical. Folly Mox (talk) 17:15, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
