Notes

edit

He appears to have also been purser of South Crofty mine. and president of the Penzance Natural History and Antiquarian Society for a time. Also need to check if his mother was the daughter of the Charles Rashleigh (pretty sure she was - Duporth and the dates seem right, and I know he had daughters). This seems clear that it is Charles Rashleigh (of Charlestown fame). DuncanHill (talk) 04:14, 13 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Collection and fire

edit

According to The Western Morning News 24 February 1949 the collection was presented to the RIC in 1940, and displayed in the county museum, and the Hall was dismantled, not destroyed by fire, in 1949. DuncanHill (talk) 00:09, 26 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
