editDo we know where this was filmed, more specifically than the Amazon? If so, maybe we could add a category re: filming location? Also, even though this program is not really a film, the article has been categorized under "Documentary films about nature". Should we also include it under "Films about snakes", then? ---Another Believer (Talk) 01:15, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

editDid Discovery coerce Rosolie?
editIn this subthread on Reddit, it is claimed that Rosolie was basically coerced by Discovery into the sensationalist stunt (by threatening to sue him) and did not actually want to do it (apparently he was originally trying to call attention to a different species of snake, an actually endangered one, unlike the green anaconda). The final cut of the show is said to be extremely misleading. This YouTube video is linked in the thread and seems to be the source for the claim. Since nothing is mentioned about this in the article nor even on talk, I thought I'd bring it up here. YouTube is not a great source, obviously, so I hesitate to add it to the article. Maybe there is a better source. The claim isn't particularly extraordinary, that's why I take it seriously at all. (I haven't watched the video, only skimmed the thread.) --Florian Blaschke (talk) 22:54, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
