Hello everyone (and by "everyone", I mean New Age Retro Hippie. Is anyone else even watching this page?). I know it's generally thought that this game would've been called EarthBound 64 or EarthBound 2 were it released outside of Japan, but the November 1999 issue of Game Informer (which I have) lists the game as "Earthbound 3: The Final Days of the Pig King". Just letting you know in case you think this is article-worthy information. -sesuPRIME talk  contribs 12:24, 29 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

A couple sites I can't figure out where to add them to:

- EB64 64DD eBay auction
- April Fool's joke - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 08:24, 3 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Not sure if either of those are worth including—the first is a rumor and the second is a hoax. Doesn't really do much by way of encyclopedic content. (This said, this reply is five years late and standards have changed, etc.) czar  23:12, 31 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Scope

edit

The longer I worked on the EB64 topic the more I realized that this scope is really the "Development of Mother 3" and not the N64 game. The article's scope, as is, cuts off abruptly with the cancellation of the game. The character, story, ideas of M3 (EB64) is carried into the later M3, which was just one more platform shift after going from SNES to 64DD to N64 (to GBA). In fact the development's story is the same. And the coup de grace: throughout the whole discussion of EB64, the game was never more than announced under the English title. Anyway, this is a long way of saying that after making my way through rewriting our articles on the series, I'm realizing that the story of EB64's development is really the story of M3's development instead. I think it's a better choice to redirect EB64 to a chapter of the larger Development of Mother 3. czar  17:26, 1 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Putting them here because there's too many for ref ideas and I've categorized a lot of them already. - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 20:54, 5 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
