No citation given for the section and the attribution to Thunberg is wrong. Although Thunberg did describe some species of Disa, P.J. Bergius had named the genus Disa earlier (in 1767). Bergius gives a description of the genus in his book, "Descriptiones plantarum ex Capite Bonae Spei".^[1]
